Putting in the work and getting results!

Thomas Morgan is an accomplished advocate for working families and those struggling to get by. As an Ingham County Commissioner, Morgan has:
Expanded the county's health services millage to include mental health assistance for our low-income neighbors in need.
Wrote the county's senior services millage, which provides critical services to seniors, including eliminating long waiting lists for Meals on Wheels and home health care.
Led the charge to finally get shovels in the ground for county trail and parks projects, securing more than $2.5 million in county funding for much-needed repairs for the Lansing River Trail.
Authored the County's new ethics policy  to improve government transparency and hold elected officials accountable.

Sprung into action to help fight the spread of COVID-19 in Ingham County and protect vulnerable citizens, including contracting with local hotels to provide safe shelter for at-risk homeless residents.
In addition, Morgan:
  • Spearheaded a substantial increase in funding to provide food, shelter, clothing and other basic needs for local refugees.
  • Worked to officially declare racism a public health crisis in Ingham County and create a county task force tasked with finding community-centered solutions to address the legacy of racial injustices.
  • Authored and passed a resolution declaring a climate emergency in Ingham County and committing to be a regional leader in addressing this existential crisis.
